Bridging Borders, Building Business: Women Driving Intra-African Trade 

The Uganda–Nigeria Women in Business & Investment Forum 2027 is a flagship PanAfrican trade and investment platform designed to accelerate commercial partnerships, investment, innovation, and sustainable economic growth between two of Africa’s most dynamic economies. 

As Africa enters a new era under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), the Forum seeks to move beyond dialogue by creating measurable business outcomes for women-led enterprises through trade facilitation, investment matchmaking, policy engagement, and long-term partnership development. 

Unlike traditional conferences that conclude when delegates return home, this initiative is structured as an ongoing business platform that supports entrepreneurs before, during and after the Forum. Participants will benefit from investment readiness programs, structured business-to-business meetings, market access opportunities, mentoring, policy dialogue and a twelve-month post-forum business support framework. 

The Forum will convene over 300 participants, including women entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, development partners, financial institutions, multinational corporations, trade promotion agencies and business support organizations. 

A unique feature of the program is a Business & Investment Immersion Tour, providing delegates with direct access to investment-ready enterprises, manufacturing facilities, agribusinesses and women-led cooperatives in Uganda. 

The Forum aims to facilitate new commercial partnerships, unlock investment opportunities, strengthen regional value chains and contribute directly to the objectives of the African Continental Free Trade Area. 

The initiative is jointly implemented by United Africa for Trade, Rights & Economic Growth (UATREG) and in collaboration with strategic government, private-sector and development partners.
