Turning everyday waste into economic opportunity, jobs and scalable infrastructure
Launching community recycling hubs across UGANDA
Every day, tons of waste are generated, polluting our land, water, and air. Based on data from Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), and environmental studies, Kisenyi is located within the Central Division which is the busiest hub in Kampala, we estimate over 20-40 tons of waste is generated per day, with little to no structured recycling systems in place.
This results in:
Environmental pollution | Lost economic value | Unemployment in local communities
At UATREG, we see waste differently, We see:
👉 Raw material
👉 Job creation
👉 A scalable business + impact model
