UATREG and the Sustainable Development Goals Initiatives (SDGs).
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet. The UN and it's partners in Uganda work towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. 17 interconnected and ambitious goals address the major development challenges faced by people in Uganda and around the world.
The UN Sustainable Development Cooperation framework (UNSDCF) 2021-2025 implemented by the UN in partnership with the government and other stakeholders supports that the government achieves the objectives of the third National Development Plan (NDP111), vision 2024 and the SDGs.
This Universal call to action towards ending poverty, protecting the planet and ensuring a peaceful environment balances social, economic and environmental sustainability and UATREG adheres.
UATREG is committed to priorities progress for those who are furthest behind, fighting against poverty and discrimination against women and the marginalized groups. UATREG is at the heart of the SDGs, actively participating and being part of recognizing that ending poverty, reducing inequality and protecting the environment (green projects) spurs economic growth.
